What clients have said
Siti Rahimah

"I had spent a year arranging and rearranging my living room without getting it to work. The Single-Plan study gave me two options I had not considered, with clear notes on why each one placed the sofa where it did. The second option solved the TV glare problem I had been accepting as unavoidable. Straightforward, no hard sell."

"We used the Whole-Home study before engaging a contractor for a light renovation. Having a document to hand over that explained why we wanted certain walls left clear and how the kitchen island should be oriented saved a lot of back and forth. The architect who picked up the work after said it was a useful brief."

"Useful study for a secondary bedroom that was functioning poorly. The process was professional — on-site visit happened on the agreed day, document arrived within the stated window. One of the two options worked well for our situation. The written notes made the reasoning easy to follow, which I appreciated."

"We commissioned the Commercial Workshop for a small office we were taking over in Bandar Sunway. The on-site session was structured — they came with a clear agenda and asked the right questions about how the team actually works. The options document went to our operations head and she was able to use it directly in the fit-out briefing without further interpretation."

"The Whole-Home study was worth doing before we committed to any purchases. The circulation notes in particular were illuminating — I had not thought about how the entrance hall connected to the kitchen until it was mapped out. The revision round was handled efficiently and the final document was tidy."

"Good experience overall. The scoping call was honest about what the study would and would not cover, which I appreciated — no ambiguity about what I was commissioning. The plan itself was clear. I would have liked slightly more detail in the written notes, but the revision round addressed that."

Three projects in detail
Condominium, Ara Damansara
Single-Plan Layout Study · 8 days
Challenge
A 950 sq ft two-bedroom unit where the open-plan living and dining area was feeling cramped despite adequate square footage. The client could not identify why the space read as smaller than it measured.
Approach
On-site measurement identified that the sofa was positioned 40 cm further from the feature wall than optimal, blocking the main movement path between the entrance and the kitchen. Two alternative layouts were developed, one prioritising the dining area and one the seating zone.
Outcome
The client adopted layout option 2, moving the sofa and repositioning the dining table by 30 cm. The circulation path through the space opened noticeably. No purchases were required — the rearrangement used existing furniture.
"I had assumed I needed new furniture. It turned out I needed a different arrangement of what I already owned."
Terrace House, Kota Damansara
Whole-Home Space Optimisation · 18 days
Challenge
A family preparing for a partial renovation of a 22×70 ft intermediate terrace. The main areas of concern were the ground-floor kitchen extension and the master bedroom, which had accumulated furniture over twelve years without a plan.
Approach
The whole-home study covered four zones across two floors, including the proposed kitchen extension footprint. Circulation notes mapped how the extended ground floor would connect to the utility area and the garden access. The master bedroom layout addressed wardrobe clearance and bedside access simultaneously.
Outcome
The document was passed to the contractor managing the kitchen extension. The contractor used the layout notes to position the island and the service door without additional instructions from the client. The master bedroom rearrangement was completed before renovation began.
"Having something written down that I could give to the contractor meant fewer conversations where I was trying to describe what I wanted."
Office Relocation, Petaling Jaya
Commercial Workshop · 9 days
Challenge
A 25-person team relocating to a new 3,400 sq ft office in PJ. The operations manager needed a layout brief for the fit-out contractor that the team had agreed on — without spending three months in internal planning discussions.
Approach
The on-site workshop brought together the operations manager and two department heads. The session mapped current working patterns, peak density periods, and storage requirements. Three layout options were developed, differentiated by how the meeting room and open-plan areas were balanced.
Outcome
The options document was approved by senior management in one meeting. The fit-out contractor used it as the brief without amendment. The team moved in within the original schedule, with a layout that reflected how the team actually worked rather than a generic open-plan arrangement.
"The workshop saved us at least a month of internal debate. We had something concrete to react to rather than starting from a blank page."
